Winter Wonderland 2024

Teddy Bear Run and Children's Respite Trust host a wonderful Winter Wonderland

Children’s Respite Trust and Teddy Bear Run Create Magical Winter Wonderland for Families

The spirit of Christmas came alive as the Teddy Bear Run and Children’s Respite Trust hosted a heart-warming Winter Wonderland event. Designed to bring joy to children with disabilities and their families, the event ensured that everyone could experience the magic of the festive season.

Saturday: A Day of Family Festivities

On Saturday, Ardingly was transformed into a hub of holiday cheer. Families were welcomed to a collection of enchanting festive activities, highlighted by an immersive grotto experience. The children’s faces lit up as they met Father Christmas himself, making wishes and sharing dreams. From arts and crafts to sensory-friendly games, the event catered to everyone, ensuring an inclusive and joyful atmosphere.

Sunday: Supercars and Festive Fun

The excitement continued on Sunday as members of the Teddy Bear Run arrived in a wide variety of four-wheeled vehicles. From supercars to family wagons, all the car enthusiasts contributed to the wonderful show. While enjoying the activities, the Teddy Bear Run participants also focused on their fundraising mission, generously taking part in the raffle to support the vital work of the Children’s Respite Trust. We are thrilled to announce that they raised an incredible £7089.48.

A Heartfelt Thanks

This Winter Wonderland would not have been possible without the incredible support of so many dedicated individuals and organisations. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who helped set up the event such as the volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes from Thomson Snell & Passmore, ABN Amro, Athena and Symbiosis. The fantastic elves Wes, Trevor, Katie, Kyle, Helen, Trudi, Jane and Duo Millers who brought smiles to countless faces. A special thank you goes to the local businesses that generously donated refreshments and prizes, adding an extra layer of excitement and wonder to the celebrations: Westways Vending, Drusilla’s, Middle Farm, Urban Jump, Ninja Arena, Guns N Posies Bakery, Ten Pin, Harry Batten, Fun Pots, Stavertons, Coffee Barn, Paradise Park, Fishers Farm and Park, Marks and Spencer’s and The Flower Shop.
