We are bursting with pride for the Little Stars that have shown their sparkle and are moving onto school in September. To mark the occasion, we hosted a graduation and end of term party with games, treats and fun. Families were welcomed into the Centre to celebrate the Little
Stars’ successes and kick off a busy summer holiday.
The Little Stars and their families joined us for a morning filled with engaging activities and yummy snacks. Children were able to play with their friends while their parents caught up with each other and staff. We are really passionate about building a community for the families we support at the Children’s Respite Trust which in turn creates the best environment for children to thrive. The early years are a particularly important time to foster these relationships and build support as the children’s needs or disabilities become more apparent.
The nursery team have worked incredibly hard to understand each child individually and then help establish challenging but achievable goals. These achievements were shared by each child’s key worker, celebrating things such as increased communication, ability to build new relationships with peers and levels of learning that may have felt unattainable in mainstream nursery. It was clear to all that the Little Stars have flourished during their time at the Trust.
Our under 5s provision has become such a vital service to many little ones and their families. They have gained so many fantastic skills and experiences in an environment that is built for them and their needs. Specialist care and the extensive knowledge of staff means children are being given great foundations for future learning.
We are sad to say goodbye to the lovely characters we’ve seen during their time here but we are so excited to see what they will achieve at school. Best of Luck Little Stars!
