We are delighted to announce that the 2016 Children’s Respite Trust Golf Day in Association with Simple Safety Advice was an outstanding success with a grand total raised of £6,177.
Around 72 guests arrived at Chartham Park near East Grinstead for bacon rolls and coffee before heading out for 18 holes of golf. The stableford four-ball competition was hotly contested before guests returned for a splendid dinner, prize-giving, raffle and auction, which included signed sports memorabilia, fine-dining experiences and short-break stays.
We’ll update you with a list of winners and a full report, but suffice to say that the fantastic total raised will be a massive boost to our efforts, as we seek to help as many families as possible with disabled children throughout Sussex, Surrey and Kent.
Our sincere thanks go to all of our sponsors, including Aspray, Marrons, Courtney Commercial, Pingala, Trackable Safety, Roselands Plumbing & Heating, N Smith Electrical, Print Matters and of course our co-organiser Simple Safety Advice.
We’d also like to thank everyone who donated prizes, the team at Chartham Park for their hospitality, golf pro Maria Tulley for her support and advice to all the players and Leo Burdett and David Brennes for their photography. Guests can purchase photos from www.davidbrenes.co.uk.
