In Aid of the Children’s Respite Trust
The Racetrack Run is a new and unique tour of some of the UK’s motor racing circuits to raise funds for the Children’s Respite Trust.
The 1,257-mile Racetrack Run includes stops at some of UK racing’s most cherished locations over four days. All accommodation is included along with drinks on arrival at various pit-stops, breakfast on departure at others and a black-tie dinner near Silverstone, the home of the British Formula One Grand Prix.
The RouteOn the morning of the 5th May 2022 participants will gather with their vehicles at Goodwood Race Circuit, home of the Festival of Speed and the Revival. Following a briefing, bacon rolls and coffee, they will head off on their expedition. The four-day trek heads first to Wales including the beautiful Trac Môn overlooking the Irish Sea. After stops in North West England our tourists head north of the border to take in Scotland’s National Motorsport Centre. The teams make their way south again through North East England and the midlands where places like Donnington Park await. A highlight of the event is a stop at Silverstone, after which we hold a black-tie dinner before heading south again to iconic locations such as Brooklands and Brands Hatch. The finishing line is the Children’s Respite Trust’s Centre in Uckfield where a warm welcome and hearty thanks await. Racetrack RunThe cost of entry is £185 per head including all accommodation* and the Black Tie Dinner**. Entrants are asked to raise a minimum sponsorship of £500 per car. Please note that this a charity trek and not a track-day. For legal purposes, we must stress that this is not a race and there is no prize for finishing first. There will however be prizes for other activities, such as best dressed vehicle and muddiest vehicle. Upgrades may be available at an additional cost. ** At the time of writing, the dinner can proceed under expected regulations for this date. Fundraising & SponsorshipWe will provide each team with an online fundraising page that you can share with your friends and contacts. Should you seek corporate sponsorship from your customers and suppliers, you are welcome to add their logos to your vehicle. We will also aim to share your content, such as photos of your vehicle etc, but we also have headline sponsors of the event, whose coverage will take priority. |
