Blooming Success at Arlington Bluebell Walk

Bluebell Walk is massive success for Children's Respite Trust

A Blooming Success – CRT’s First Bluebell Walk Takeover Raises Over £3,200

We are thrilled to share the wonderful success of our very first Bluebell Walk Takeover at Bates Green Farm! We had a beautiful day of sun on 17th April with an abundance of bluebells and anemones dotting the woodland floor.

Thanks to the incredible support of our volunteers, visitors, and local businesses, the Children’s Respite Trust raised a fantastic £3,232.04 during our day at the Arlington Bluebell Walk. Over 550 people came to see the beautiful bluebells with even more visiting the Café. Visitors commended our cakes, volunteer friendliness and how they were pleased to support such a worthwhile cause. We were also pleased to welcome so many of the families we support to enjoy the accessible day out.

We are especially proud to report how much fantastic feedback we’ve had including a comment about the choice of food for everyone I just wanted to pass on a very huge thank you, because it is so difficult going out to eat when you are coeliac. Although places provide gluten-free options, they are not always guaranteed to be suitable for consumption and cooked safely in a coeliac-friendly environment. So, to know you have taken the extra care and thought to provide this, I am so grateful.”. Messages like this are is a true testament to the hard work and dedication of of the team involved.

We’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to the amazing volunteers who gave their time so generously, you’re our superheroes! We’re also incredibly grateful to the local businesses who supported us on the day, including J Kirby, Edkins Milward, Athena SE, Arlington Tea Room, and Westways Vending. A special thank you also goes to Thomson Snell & Passmore and Handelsbanken for encouraging staff to volunteer their time with us — your support made a huge difference.

This event was a brand-new venture for the Trust, and we couldn’t be happier with how it went. Thank you again to everyone who helped us bring it to life — we hope to see you again next year amongst the bluebells!
