Join Us for a Day at the Arlington Bluebell Walk!

The Children’s Respite Trust is delighted to invite you to a special day at the Arlington Bluebell Walk and Farm Trail this spring. This event offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Beatons Wood while supporting our vital work with local families.

Event Highlights:

 

  • Scenic Walks: Explore multiple trails across two working farms, each showcasing the breath-taking progression of springtime flora—from the early emergence of bluebell leaves to the full bloom of English bluebells.
  • Family-Friendly Activities: Children can delight in visiting the animals like ewes with their lambs and pygmy goats with their kids.
  • Homemade Refreshments: The Children’s Respite Trust team will be providing all the refreshments in the café, serving delicious homemade cakes, light bites, and beverages. All proceeds will go towards supporting our vital services.

Visitor Information:

  • Opening Hours: The event runs from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Admission: Tickets are available at the entrance. For group bookings of 16 or more, please complete the group booking form . There are admission fees to the bluebell walks however you can access the café free of charge. All adults £8, Children (3-16yrs) £4, Family (2 adults and up to 4 children) £20.
  • Accessibility: A 2/3 mile circular path through Beatons Wood is suitable for wheelchair users, with seating provided at regular intervals for rest and enjoyment. Accessible parking and facilities are available.
  • Pet Policy: Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times to protect the wildlife and livestock.
  • Location: The Arlington Bluebell Walk is located at Bates Green Farm, Tye Hill Road, Arlington, near Polegate, East Sussex, BN26 6SH. Detailed directions and transport options can be found on their website.

We Need Your Help!

To make this day a success, our team will also be running the whole venue! We are looking for amazing volunteers to assist with:

  • Cooking and baking – Share your culinary skills by preparing treats for the café.
  • Stewarding – Help guide visitors and ensure the day runs smoothly.
  • Cleaning up – Assist with tidying the café and event spaces throughout the day.
