Driving Change: Out of Bounders Society Supports CRT

Out of Bounders donate £1250 to CRT

We are thrilled to announce a generous donation of £1,250 from the Out of Bounders Society, a local golfing community with a rich history of charitable giving.

The Society, established in the mid-1980s, began with just 12 members. Over the years, it has grown to a vibrant membership of 48. They meet monthly (except in winter) to play at various courses in the region, and their passion for golf is matched by their commitment to supporting good causes.

Each year, the Society’s captain selects a charity to benefit from their fundraising efforts. This year, we were honoured to be chosen by Captain Nick Wickens, a supporter of the Trust who has attended several of our Masquerade Balls. Nick shared that he is inspired by the resilience of the families we serve and the difference the Trust makes in their lives.

The funds were raised through the Society’s monthly contributions, as well as an auction and raffle held at their AGM. We are deeply grateful for their kindness and hard work in making this donation possible. This contribution will help us provide vital care and support to children with disabilities and their families, ensuring they have access to the respite they so desperately need.

Thank you, Out of Bounders Society, for your incredible generosity and for choosing to support the Children’s Respite Trust.
