Wow, what an amazing night of laughs at Langney Sports Club on Friday night. Thank you to everyone involved in our most successful Comedy Night yet. You helped us raise a fantastic £5,155.
Paul Pirie‘s high octane opening was followed by Anthony Ayton’s satirical observations and the evening was closed by the ever-brilliant Craig Campbell all the way from Canada.
Over 170 guests came to enjoy the comedy, which was all held together by compere, Jim Grant of Oi Oi Comedy.
Our sincere thanks go to everyone who donated towards the raffle, which raised over £1,000 and to Wilmoths Willingdon, who kindly auctioned off football tickets and rounds of golf to boost the total raised yet further.
A particular mention goes to our sponsors: Acorns Charitable Trust Safer. Health and Safety Consulting and Training, The Sussex Sign Company CBL Fastenings, CWJ Landscapes and J Kirby Electrical Ltd Summit Environmental Limited. Also to our print sponsor Sparc PM Ltd printing for providing posters, tickets and programmes. Without this support we simply couldn’t hold the Comedy Nights and so we are enormously grateful to them.
We’re also grateful to our hosts Langney Sports Club, Oi Oi Comedy for providing the acts and to our fabulous co-organisers and Ambassadors of the Trust Derek and Helen Blaney.
The total raised is a tremendous amount that will make a big difference towards our ability to care for children with disabilities throughout the area.
